Due to the distance in common rooms, perhaps there was also a slight distance in communication and perceptiveness when it boiled down to it. Harley was distraught when Aiden was arrested, and Tori had to watch Harley weep in isolation when everywhere else, the girl put on a strong front. Perhaps then... and only then, Tori felt somewhat jealous of Harley's freedom to weep and break down and that's when a small rift formed between them. Harley's never understood and although Tori knows she's a faithful friend, the friction still exists.Victoria went under the delusion that Harley even dated the man that Tori felt so confused about given the incidences during her stay in the Hospital Wing. And although Harley may have never been told about the unfortunate circumstances that befell the young Ravenclaw then, Tori had a sneaky suspicion she may have found out and been slightly offended at not being told.
Now, of course, things have changed. Although they are out of the walls of Hogwarts, their friendship had somewhat still persevered and although they're hardly best friends, they still attemp to keep a pretty decent relationship. With the escaping of the bubble of Hogwarts, interhouse friendships seemed all that more acceptable, and it's no big deal if a Weasley is seen talking to the Harlington heiress in some french boutique in Little Venice. However, visiting each other is slowly becoming a rarity with Tori climibng the professional ladder and Harley's successful acting career and higher demand. the history of our lives. Out of all the people Gwendolyn knows, her acquaintance with Harley Huntington has to be the one with the most complicated past. In school, the two girls got along quite well with each other, bonded by their shared love for music. Yes, the silly rivalries still existed, especially since they resided in the same house, but with those two, things were not as intense. There were the moments when one would direct some offhanded jab at the other, and things would immediately escalate into a full blown catfight. Those days were few and far between, however, which was a good thing, perhaps.
After Aiden was sent to Azkaban, things changed. Gwen closed herself off from the rest of the world for quite some time, only speaking to Amberly, Selena, and her family when she did talk with someone. If she had been the Ice Princess of the school before, her new demeanor made her the Queen. Needless to say, Gwendolyn hasn't had much interaction with Harley since that day. The fact that Harley's become an actress doesn't help either. Gwen became a model because of her father, and because he designs clothes for both Wizards and Muggles; to her, performing solely in the Muggle world is a disgrace to Wizards everywhere.

Yes, the silly rivalries still existed, especially since they resided in the same house, but with those two, things were not as intense. There were the moments when one would direct some offhanded jab at the other, and things would immediately escalate into a full blown catfight. Those days were few and far between, however, which was a good thing, perhaps.
After Aiden was sent to Azkaban, things changed. Gwen closed herself off from the rest of the world for quite some time, only speaking to Amberly, Selena, and her family when she did talk with someone. If she had been the Ice Princess of the school before, her new demeanor made her the Queen. Needless to say, Gwendolyn hasn't had much interaction with Harley since that day. The fact that Harley's become an actress doesn't help either. Gwen became a model because of her father, and because he designs clothes for both Wizards and Muggles; to her, performing solely in the Muggle world is a disgrace to Wizards everywhere.[/size]
